New family?
A black or pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers, unless your instructor specifies otherwise. Hair should be in a neat bun.
Placement is by age and, above Ballet I, by instructor recommendation. Not sure? Email the office and we'll help you place your dancer correctly.
School students are invited to audition for children's and Company roles in mainstage productions such as The Nutcracker — no outside audition needed to join the School itself.
Yes — we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID 94-3089998). Tuition and ticket sales are supplemented by donations and grants to keep the arts accessible locally.
Yes — each December we offer two discounted daytime Nutcracker shows for K-12 classes and home-school groups. Contact us early; seats go quickly.
All mainstage productions are at Livermore's Bankhead Theater, where VDT is the resident ballet company.
